Throughout history of 4,000 years Pearls have been worn and made in many different religions, places and cultures. The pearl originated in India, and before the 1900's Pearls symbolized wealth and power, and the moon which was believed to influence one's emotions and mind. It is said that wearing pearls bring harmony and stability to the affluences. Also, during World War II getting a pearl engagement ring was a pledge of love. In medieval times it was used for love potions. Pearls are one of the oldest gems that have been traded and have been worn in many for different occasions such as weddings, and in religious services.
